In your post you will need to explain how you did this and include screen shots.

Sound

Using the sound program Audacity you will need to edit an existing sound (reduce the duration) and export the edited sound as a WAV format.

Week 2: Designing Graphics

Week 2

Your second post

  • Buttons
  • Music
  • spot sound effects
  • ambient sounds

You will need to develop a series of mock up graphic images to represent the scenes in the interactive project.
In your sketchbook you can sketch out the scenes and scan them. These can be inserted in your new post.
You will also need to annotate these images to explain how the interactive elements might work to navigate through the story or learning interactive media.
In your annotatiopn you can also describe what sound will accompany the Scenes.

Exercise 1:OLD HOUSE EXERCISE

Bitmaps are made up from PIXELS
Bit map images are created and manipulated using Photoshop
The images created need to match the document size in Flash.
You need to decide the document size in Flash

·         Standard size is 550 pixels by 400 pixels of Flash stage

·         1024 pixels by 768 pixels – average PC screen dimensions

Decide on the screen dimensions of your interactive media product.
In this exercise you will be introduced to Photoshop and basic tools to manipulate and adjust images.
You will also create text and export the start screen to be used in Flash
You will need to insert this final image into this post.

Add annotation describing the photoshop techniques you used to create the background image for the interactive project.
  • Include how you transformed images (scale)
  • Added text and used the blending options
